Adirondack Farmhouse The Farmhouse was perfect for our family to meet for a holiday ski trip. We enjoyed cooking some fantastic meals. The kitchen is well equipped! The hot tub was very nice after a day of skiing. The temps were above freezing, which worked out well for us to leave skis on the lower level patio to melt off the ice and snow. With the wood floors, we didn’t want to bring skis inside. A large dog kennel with plastic tray provided a great place to dry out gloves and ski pants. Warning to people from the city- it was too quiet for my daughter to sleep and too dark for my son’s fiancé. Lol. Communication was great. Absolutely beautiful area. Access to stores was fine. Lake Placid was amazing little town with great shopping, food and drink. Two people in our group went hiking and loved the recommendation from the cabin’s info packet. So many interesting books, and area guides to read as well. They have a new tv it seems now in the living room with netflix and all of the streaming apps which is great! This house is LEGIT walkable to town in under 20 mins mainly walking along the lake so another bonus! The dock with the adk chairs, the ability to jump off into the water, geez, this house has it all! Can only imagine how it would be in the peak of summer! The place was awesome. Best views you can get. House is basically almost in the water, so access to dock and kayaks is immediate. All of the beds were comfy, with clean linens and plenty of pillows. Three full bathrooms stocked with shampoo soap and plenty of toilet paper. Kitchen was fully stocked and contained many helpful extras. Location is in a quiet neighborhood...while the surrounding houses are spaced fairly close, the location of the camp is in a recessed area under a hill, so you get very good privacy. Great bluetooth soundbar in bedroom. Small firepit to enjoy along with a BBQ with plenty of propane. Would definitely go back there again! We had a great week at the Saranac Lake house. The home is very comfortable and homey with everything you need for a perfect lake get away. The location is on the quiet end of the lake with lots of friendly neighbors. We appreciated and used all the outdoor equipment - paddle boards, kayaks, paddle boat, fire pit, hammock and hot tub!!! The location of being right next to the lake is great, even has kayaks and paddle boards to enjoy. The hot tub is a great touch. Very good with communication, would text back almost immediately. The home itself was very nice and spacious, fit 9 adults with no issues.
